2023 has been a busy year for Events! From Halloween, Star Wars to AEW Wrestling there is plenty of highlights
AEW All In Wembley
This was the first time i ever visited a stadium and i wont lie i was nervous about the crowds leaving back to the tube, but my worries soon disappeared during the show! I know nothing about wrestling but i was sweeped up in the atmosphere and really really enjoyed it! The first thing i said to my mate when i left the stadium was "Can we go again next year!
Star Wars Celebration 2023
Star Wars Celebration 2016 is still one of the highlights of my life so far, and 2023s event has been added to that list. Getting into the queue at 5am and enjoying the fun atmosphere in the queue. I was sitting at the front of the first queue that was let in, and i will never forget everyone cheering as my queue was escorted to the main halls by imperial soliders! The entire event was amazing, seeing the Bad Batch S3 panel, The Visions Panel and seeing the Live Stage presenters! Ask anyone and they will tell you i love Star Wars and this event just made me love it even more!
The Coronation
This was the first time i had attended a event with zero planning and it was so worth it. Seeing London covered in decorations was amazing. Getting up at 4am in the morning to take a night-tube to Whitehall was interesting as was sitting waiting for over 6 hours. But i got talking to some brilliant people and got to watch the build-up to the event with various military diversions making their way to Westminister. Then seeing the King and Queen pass going to the Abbey as well as the rest of the family was amazing. The mega parade after was WOW and felt like it was going on forever with so many troops marching past! The flypast was a speculator sight, with the Red Arrows ending the celebrations!
West End Live 2023
Always a staple of my year, this years event was the best yet! Arriving in the queue early that saturday morning and soaking in the atmosphere was brilliant. This year the saturday was heavy with all the mega shows performing and it was just specutalor! The highlights of the event had to be The Choir of Man and discovering The Little Big Things Musical!
Illuminations Switch-on 2023
This years event was a return to the outdoor concert format, with the addition of a parade. Ignoring the shambles of the parade, the event was amazing. Seeing Sophie Ellis Bextor perform live and pull the switch-on switch was wow! The fireworks from the beach and the tower just topped off a brillaint event. I have never seen Blackpool so full, and cant wait to see nexts year event!
Fiesta of the Dead
Its no surprise Blackgang Chine is still a major part of my year and this was only the 2nd time I have experienced their Halloween event and it didnt disappoint! The Chocobloc Lawn had been transformed into a party area and the area over Rumpus Bridge had mega skulls floating around. Cowboy Town had fire shows and spooky decorations. This event showed Blackgang at its best and cant wait to visit again next Halloween!
