AEW All In 2023 Wembley

Updated: Sep 20, 2023

27th August 2023, Wembley Stadium, London

⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐

So i am going to hold my hands up and say i went into this event not knowing a single thing about Wrestling, any of the wrestlers names! But i came out of this show with a mega grin on my face, already asking about next years event! Before the show i was being sent videos and watching a few matches on TV to try and get understand what was going on but nothing prepared me for what was actually in store!

So the fun began on the tube, sitting with my mate, Adam, watching the tube train slowly getting busier and busier, trying to spot who was going to the event! Some quite obvious with mega AEW t-shirts.

Arriving i was in shock of the sight of the amount of people crowded into Olympic Way. Of all the events i have ever attended this was the most amount of people. The event was a sell-out of 80,000 people in the stadium.

I relied on Adam to find the entrance we needed. I thought it would take a while to get in, but it was surprisingly quick entrance. It seemed like ages going up a never ending escalators to our level.

Now this is my only negative of the event. We queued for the merchandise stand and was shocked there was no program for the event! Maybe because it was the first one, but we shocked! I thought the prices reasonable for what was available, £30 for a t-shirt and the same price for a hat. While in the queue, i caught a glimpse of the seating area and the roar of the crowd. I have to admit i get nervous.

We entered the stadium and i was in shock with the size and the amount of people already there. Getting to our seats felt like climbing Mount Everest, but it still offered a good view once we sat down. For the next 5 hours i kept leaning over to Adam constantly asking questions about what was going on. I did feel like i was sticking out like a sort thumb, especially when Fozzy entered the stadium and everyone sang along to Judas. And i didn't understand some of the chanting like "Aussie W****r" etc, so needed to keep asking. A bloke called Tony kept getting mentioned and everyone booed him which i didn't understand (and i still don't)

The atmosphere of the whole event was wow. Once it got dark, the pyrotechnics were amazing and when the lights went out everyone's phone torches shinning around the stadium.

So the actual wrestling did take me a few minutes to get into. But after a few matches i was in was really enjoying it. I have actually started following a few on social media, especially CW punk and Saraya. I especially enjoyed a match called Stadium Stampede. It was utter chaos with fighting happening in the ring and in different parts of the stadium like the bar and car park!

We left literally a couple of minutes before the event to beat the crowds, which quite a few other people did. I think i shocked Adam with just how enthusiastic i was coming out the stadium! There was already a few people at the tube station but luckily we got a quiet train to Liverpool Street where our hotel was located!

This was 100% one of the highlights of my year.
