This was my first for the 2023 season and it didn't disappoint! As soon as i got off the bus, i instantly spotted the new addition to the park! Extinction is a mega gyro-swing ride. There is 2 queues for this ride, a 120 queue and a full 360 queue. On the 4 times I went I did the full 360 experience and it was amazing. The views from the top are amazing, and it's just so much fun.
This being Easter i was able to take part in the events around the park. The event being held was Legends of Blackgang Chine! It was a quest style hunt for the recovery of Lady P's golden egg! I first visited the Hatchery! This was home to a bady dinosaur and the mad dinosaur keeper! The amount of effort put into the event was amazing and i had so much fun. For the first time i actually got to meet one of the parks resident Dodos, Lady P!
There was also a cowboy sing-along in the cowboy town, fairy story reading in fairyland and a cowboy party in Pirate Cove!
This was also the first event for the 180th Birthday Celebrations for the park, and the park was in top-notch condition! The birthday cake dodo has had a refresh to a 180 cake! All the parks animatronics all working perfectly in Rumpus Mansion and Restricted Area 5. It was weird not seeing the Cliffhanger Rollercoaster in its normal place but hopefully it will be filled with something equally fun soon!
It was good to visit Nursery land to see mushroom with the year on it. Luckily it was a clear day and the view along the coast was speculator! I have several trips planned this year, and hopefully they are all as fun as this one!
