Rides
Feel the ride Maintenace for the rides has slipped slightly this year. The Big One wasn't open for opening due to a fault, then it broke down later on in the day with people stuck on it. Avalanche wasn't open for my entire trip which was a shame as that is one of my favourites as was Grand National.
The rest of the rides all operated perfectly. I had several rides on Icon and Infusion. The Big Dipper is in need of some TLC as the ride seems to get more and more rough. I only rode 2 rides in the Nickelodeon Land as this was the busiest land in the park. The Rugrats Log Flume was a brilliant cool down ride, and got absolutely soaked! The Nickelodeon Streak rollercoaster had the longest queue of the day, but the ride was fun and smooth.
It is a shame Valhalla has still not opened for the 2022 season after a long refurbishment as that is usually one of the first rides i run to when the park opens!
This was the first time i had ever gone in the Chinese maze and felt it was a really good maze, one of the best i have got trapped it. Took me over 15mins to find the exit!
I know this is a unpopular opinion but Infusion is still a good ride and actually felt smoother this year, didn't come off it with a bad neck!
Costs:
The park entry is now £46, but i was able to use discount with my place of employment.
The cost of on-ride photos is good value, as i got a unlimited digital pass for £20 which meant i could as many photos as i like. I did make it my mission to ride every ride that had the photo pass. This was instead of £11 for one physical and one digital photo per ride.
I didn't make use of the speedy pass but did see the prices on the app, and felt it was good value if i was to use it on future visits.
Merchandise:
There is a wide range of merchandise for all the major rides in the park. The Icon merchandise is a personal favourite, with hoodies, Jackets, Pens and Drawstrings just a few to mention. This years new additions focused more on the Big One with new designs in water bottles and mugs etc.
I do like the wide range of Pins available, the shop under the Flying Machine had a entire wall of them which was bad for more wallet!
The Nickelodeon store is a just a generic store selling merchandise for the channels shows, with nothing specialized for that particular land.
Final Thoughts
I did feel with the price of admission it would have been good to have had something new for this year, which is included in the admission rather than the Enso which is a paid extra. It is one of my highlights during my trips to Blackpool.
If you visit Blackpool you can't visit without going to the Pleasure Beach!
