⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Located in Stanley Park, the zoo is spread over 32 acres and has loads of animals in their care!

The zoo is home to one of the biggest

elephant exhibits in the country, Project Elephant Base Camp. There is 6 elephants in their care, and you have the opportunity to go inside their night enclosure and see the outdoor area. I spent ages just standing watching these magnificent animals! The keeper talk was fascinating, talking about the individual care they receive and enrichment.

The zoo also has a large giraffe enclosure,

Giraffe Heights. I might be slightly biased as these are my favourite animals and seeing the 4 giraffes walking around their home was amazing. I spent ages taking loads of pictures and just watching them as they are fascinating animals. The area has a raised walkway that lets you walk and see the animals at the their height! For a paid extra you can also feed them

The day i visited i was able to watch a sea lion talk. You could see the care and love the keepers have for the animals. It was amazing watching the sea lions following the keepers instruction, the highlight was the balancing the ball on his nose!

There is several walk-through enclosures where you can meet the animals. The World of Wings and Rainbow Landings are places you can meet exotic birds up close! The Wallaby Walkabout lets you meet the zoo's resident wallabys and kangaroos! I managed to spot their rare Albino Wallaby!

You can also meet the Lemurs in Lemur Wood! There was a keeper inside and explained I was lucky to see their Red Puffed Lemur in view as he normally hides from the visitors

They have several aviaries which housed their rare breeds. It was brilliant to see them without a enclosure separating, offering some amazing photos!

The zoo is also home to Gorillas, Orangutans, Wolves, Flamingos, Penguins, Ostriches,Reindeers,Camels, Pelicans and many more.

There is also a large dinosaur safari! Home to tyrannosaurus rex, Dilophosaurus, Deinonychus and many more!

This zoo was amazing, clean, large and a large of variety of animals. Every time i visit Blackpool i always make sure i visit the Zoo! I would highly recommend it to everyone!
