The Choir Man, Some Night

Hey, theatre lovers! Today I'm going to share with you my thoughts on the amazing feel-good show The Choir of Man. This was my 5th time visiting The Jungle, and it didn't let me down!

If you haven't heard of this show here is a quick piece about it! They are a group of nine talented singers and musicians who perform a variety of songs, from rock to pop to folk, with amazing harmonies and energy. They also interact with the audience, invite some people on stage, and create a fun and friendly atmosphere. The show is set in a pub called The Jungle, where the performers serve drinks to the audience before and during the show. It's like being part of a big party!

I have to say, I was blown away by the Choir of Man. They are not only great singers, but also great entertainers. They made me laugh, cry, clap, and sing along. They sang some of my favourite songs, like "Somebody to Love" by Queen, "Chandelier" by Sia, and "The Impossible Dream" by Andy Williams. They also sang some songs that I didn't know, but they were catchy and uplifting. They even did a mashup of "Hello" by Adele and "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, which was amazing. My favourite performance though was "Some Nights" by Fun. The choreography in that particular song with the pint glasses was amazing!

The show was not only about music, though. It was also about friendship, camaraderie, and celebrating life. The performers shared some stories and jokes, and showed their genuine bond with each other. They also talked about some serious issues, like mental health and masculinity, and how music can help us cope and express ourselves. They were very honest and relatable, and I felt like I got to know them a bit.

The show lasted for about 90 minutes, but it felt like it flew by. I didn't want it to end. I had such a good time, and I felt like I was part of something special. The Choir of Man is not just a show, it's an experience. If you have a chance to see them live, don't miss it. You won't regret it. Trust me. I can't wait to visit The Jungle soon for a 6th time!

The Choir of Man is currently playing at the Arts Theatre London till February 2024
