I had the chance to visit the Disney 100 exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art last week and I was blown away by the amazing collection of artworks, memorabilia and interactive displays that celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. The exhibit showcases the history, creativity and innovation of Disney from its humble beginnings as a cartoon studio to its global influence as a media and entertainment powerhouse.
The exhibit is divided into four sections: Animation, Live Action, Theme Parks and Streaming. Each section features original sketches, paintings, sculptures, costumes, props, models and videos from some of the most iconic Disney movies, shows and attractions. Some of the highlights include:
- A replica of Walt Disney's office with his desk, typewriter, awards and personal items
- A giant mural of Mickey Mouse through the years
- A life-size animatronic of Baby Yoda from The Mandalorian
- A virtual reality experience that lets you explore the Haunted Mansion
- A behind-the-scenes look at how Disney+ creates its original content
The exhibit is a must-see for any Disney fan or anyone who appreciates art and storytelling. It's a magical journey that will make you smile, laugh, cry and marvel at the legacy of Disney. The exhibit runs until March 2024 and tickets are available online or at the museum. Don't miss it!
