Wow, what an amazing experience I had at the Star Wars Celebration 2023! I'm mega Star Wars fan and I was so excited to go to this event. I had been to the 2016 one, but I didn't plan ahead very well. This time, I was more prepared and I entered the lottery system for some panels and shops. I was lucky enough to get into the Bad Batch Panel at the Galaxy Stage and the Official Store! You ask anyone and all i was talking about the weeks before was this event! Going on the monday meant i followed the event live on the official Star Wars Channel, which just hyped me even more!
I had heard some bad things about the queuing and entry system from the previous days, but I didn't have any problems. I got there at 5am and I was one of the first in line. The staff let us in at 7.30am and took us to the security. We only had to wait for 30 minutes there. The staff were friendly and the security check was fast.
We was led into a queuing hall, and I got comfy sitting on the floor at the front of the queue. The event staff were very polite and enthusiastic. At one point, the lights got dimmed so everyone held up their lightsabers with the finale music from A New Hope playing. It was a magical moment that gave me goosebumps and i was actually close to tears of happiness!
9.45am came and we was let in, with a round of applause from the other lines. We was greeted with Darth Vader and Imperial Soldiers who marched us to the main exhibition halls. This was a perfect start! I felt like I was part of the movie. I couldn't wait to explore everything that the celebration had to offer. I knew it was going to be an unforgettable day.
I had a blast at the Star Wars Celebration this year. One of the highlights was the Bad Batch Panel, where I got to see the exclusive season 3 trailer. It was so cool to see what's next for the clones and their adventures. I couldn't record anything because they were very strict about it, but trust me, it was worth it. The panel was actually a live stream from the main stage, but I still felt like I was part of the action. Seeing the cast live was just amazing. Hearing Dee Bradley Baker do the different voices of the clones was amazing.
After the panel, I decided to explore the exhibition halls and check out some of the stalls. There was a lot of stuff to see and buy, from exclusive merchandise to books and comics. I stopped by the Forbidden Planet stand and picked up a few new titles. I also had a time slot for the official store, where I managed to get the official program. I was glad I did, because it looked like they were running low on stock. The last event i missed out on a program and it still annoys me The only thing that bothered me for the whole event was the staff at the store. They seemed very rude and unhelpful. I asked one of them a simple question and he just ignored me.
But that didn't ruin my mood. There were so many photo opportunities around the venue. I saw some amazing props from the movies, like Solo's speeder and Chewie's bowcaster. There were also some impressive replicas made by fans, like a life-size AT-AT and a Millennium Falcon cockpit. My favourite was the rebels mural, where I posed with some of my favourite characters. The Live Stage was also surrounded by props and replicas, and it was fun to watch some of the interviews and shows there.
I had a blast at the Star Wars Celebration this year. I spent the rest of the event settled at the Live Stage. I am a mega fan of the official star wars YouTube shows so seeing the presenters on the stage was a highlight of the show. They was streaming the panels here so I saw the Visions Panel and the Designing Obi-Wan Panel. I also saw quite a few guests like Matthew Wood (voice of the battle droids) and various authors. I even got to have a picture with Anthony Carboni!
The Visions Panel was amazing. It showcased nine original anime shorts that explore different aspects of the Star Wars universe. The animation styles were diverse and stunning, and the stories were creative and intriguing. I loved how they blended Japanese culture and aesthetics with Star Wars themes and characters. I can't wait to watch them all when they come out on Disney+.
The Designing Obi-Wan Panel was also very interesting. It featured concept artists and costume designers who worked on the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series. They shared some of their sketches and inspirations for creating the look and feel of the show. They also revealed some details about the setting and timeline of the series, which takes place 10 years after Revenge of the Sith. I was blown away by their talent and vision.
I also got to meet some of my favorite Star Wars personalities at the Live Stage. Matthew Wood, who voiced the battle droids in the movies and shows, was very funny and friendly. He did some impressions of his iconic lines and answered some questions from the fans. He also signed my poster and took a selfie with me. I also met some of the authors who wrote Star Wars novels and comics. They gave me some insights into their writing process and how they collaborate with Lucasfilm. They also signed my books and gave me some bookmarks.
But the best part was meeting Anthony Carboni, one of the hosts of The Star Wars Show on YouTube. He is hilarious and charismatic, and I love his interviews and segments. He was at the Live Stage to introduce some of the panels and guests. He also interacted with the audience and cracked some jokes. I managed to catch him after one of his segments and asked him for a picture. He was very nice and agreed to pose with me.
What an incredible experience it was to witness the Celebration Closing Ceremony live! I have always been a fan of these events, and I have seen many of them online, but nothing compares to being there in person. The energy and the emotion were palpable, and everyone was moved seeing the highlights of the weekend!. I don't think there was anyone who didn't shed a tear or two by the end of it. It was truly a memorable and inspiring night!I can't believe how awesome this event was. It was pure Star Wars, and it was amazing.
From the moment I entered the venue, I felt like I was transported to a galaxy far, far away. There were stormtroopers, Jedi, droids, and even a life-sized Millennium Falcon. The music, the lights, the costumes, everything was perfect. I got to meet some of my favorite actors and actresses from the movies and TV shows! also got to watch some exclusive footage and trailers for the upcoming projects. It was epic. Just writing this review is putting a smile on my face with the happy memories. It is 100% the best event I have ever attended!
