30th May 2024, Stadium MK, Milton Keynes
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just WOW WOW WOW!
I will start with my only negative, the staff at the stadium. I have one word to describe them, useless. This was the first time we had visited Stadium MK and finding our seats took over 30mins with none of the staff knowing the way to our area. In the end we found a actual manager who was able to tell us the correct direction to our seats! And wow, when we got to our seats (27A & 28, U23A 792), the view from the seat was speculator.
This show itself was brilliant from start to finish. The buildup to the show had different members of Take That showing fake products in fake tv ads, all themed to the shows theme This Life
Olly Murs was fantastic as a opening act, performing songs like Heart Skips a Beat, Troublemaker and a stripped back version of Dear Darlin in dedication to his friend Caroline Flack. I have to admit i sang along at the top of my voice at Up.
After Olly Murs was the main act, Take That! They opened the show with Keep Your Head Up. They appeared in a TV screen that opened up for them to walk onto the stage. The whole first section was like a version of "This is Your Life". Looking back on the history of Take That.
They then performed: Giants, Days I Hate Myself, Everything Changes, Windows, Shine, A Million Love Songs, I Found Heaven, Pray, Forever Love, Clementine, Patience, Speak Without Words. This was the final song in the This Life section. The next section was more of a party section, including: The Flood, Greatest Day, Get Ready For It, March of the Hopeful, This Life, These Days, Relight My Fire, Hold Up a Light, Back for Good, One More Word, Never Forget and the finale Rule the World.
My favorites had to be Greatest Day, Relight my Fire and Never Forget. See the entire stadium joining in during Never Forget was breath-taking. The firework finale was amazing, and was the perfect end for a awesome show.
The merchandise was well-priced with T-Shirts starting at £35, Hats at £20 and a very detailed program at £25.
