The Choir of Man

9th April 2023, The Arts Theatre London

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the 4th time i have visited "The Jungle" and it was still a brilliant and memorable experience!

The Choir of Man is a musical show that celebrates the joy of singing, friendship and community in a cozy pub setting. The show features nine talented performers who play various instruments, dance and deliver poetic monologues, as well as a working bar on stage that serves free beer to the audience. The show is full of energy, humor and emotion, as the cast sings a range of popular songs from artists like Queen, Adele, Sia and Guns & Roses, arranged by Jack Blume in stunning vocal harmonies. The show also touches on themes like masculinity, loneliness and mental health, with Conor Hanley' witty and poignant monologues providing a narrative thread. The Choir of Man is a show that will make you laugh, cry and sing along, as you feel part of a warm and welcoming pub community. The show is currently playing at the Arts Theatre in London's West End, where it has received rave reviews and an Olivier Award nomination for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play. There is no bad seats in this theatre, with all offering a good view of the stage. The circle side benches are advertised as "restricted" because of the safety barrier and the side view of the stage. For this showing, i sat in Circle F11. This offered a brilliant view as it seemed to be much higher up than the previous row. There is also a wide variety of merchandise to buy from programs, CD, T-Shirts and magnets. If you are looking for a fun and uplifting night out, don't miss The Choir of Man!
