2022 Theatre Highlights

Updated: Dec 20, 2022

2022 has been one of my busiest for theatre! I have finally been able to tick off some of the West End's big shows that have been on my list for years, and seen some amazing touring performances at my local theatres. I cant wait to see what 2023 will have in store!

Dear Evan Hansen

Back in February had the opportunity to see this show for the first time, and it was outstanding. I saw it again in June and it has certainty left a mark as the story was so moving and the songs being catchy. Both times i could hear people crying at the end of the first act, me included! I pray for a UK tour in the future.

Bat out of Hell

Saw this show for the second time at MK Theatre after seeing the original version in the West End in 2018. Fair enough there was some changes in the touring production but it was still as good.

West End Live

This years event was one the best one i have attended. From the amazing performances, presenters and just the atmosphere, was just perfect. Already planning an even bigger West End Live 2023 trip!

Disney's The Lion King

As a long time fan of the films, this show has been at the top of my to-see list and was amazing to finally tick it off back in February. The puppetry was outstanding, i never took my eyes off them, never noticed the actors! The original song, Endless Nights is a perfect addition to the Lion King. The merchandise selection was good, and my poor wallet is crying at the thought of another visit!

The Play that Goes Wrong

As a long term fan of everything Mischief Theatre, seeing this show again back in July was perfect. Even though i knew the jokes and the "accidents" i was still rolling on the floor with laughter for the entire 2 hours.

Six the Musical

Not going to lie, i have seen this show this almost once a month and it is still my favourite show. Walking to the theatre i just have a mega smile on my face, and buying the latest piece of merchandise. Taking my seat, and hearing the announcement "Six minutes to go Queen" gets me even more excited" Throughout the whole show the smile stays on my face, knowing the show word perfect. Then during the megasix i literally have tears of happiness!

In October i even got to experience the show with my best mate, but i think his review would be slightly different review to mine

The Choir of Man

This was the 3rd i visited "The Jungle" and it was still an amazing show. I visited with another friend who i have gone talked none stop about the show, and it didn't disappoint! The cast energy and enthusiasm is so infectious you come out the show with a mega grin and just really happy! I discovered this show at West End Live 2021, and it has fast become one of my favourites with their version of Save Tonight/Wake Me Up being favourite of the whole show. I can't wait to see this show again and again in the new year!
