The Osmonds Musical- Royal & Derngate, 6th May 2022
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Storyline:
The show follows the family group, starting with their early appearances on variety tv shows, to the peak were they are selling over a 100million records. It then shows the decline in the band with money trouble forcing them to tour to pay back debt. The show also shows the internal arguments and fights the group had, and the pressure and strictness their father put on them. The story of the show is told through the eyes of Jay Osmond and i feel it shows in some parts how he blames certain members of group for the fall the family experienced.
Songs:
The show packs In all the families biggest hits from Puppy Love, Love Me for a Reason, One Bad Apple to Paper Roses! The finale offers a brilliant few minutes of the biggest songs!
Seat
Sat in Circle AA1. This provided a brilliant uninterrupted view of the show.
Merchandise
There was a wide choice of merchandise to purchase from 2 brochures, t-shirts, pens, book marks, badges, and keyrings
Final Thought
The show provides an amazing throwback for people who grew up with the family, and the opportunity for others to see the story. I did come out asking questions about the in-fighting in the family and the perceptive it was shown through (one member of the families thoughts)
If it comes to a theatre near you I highly recommend seeing it!
